At one point someone I know told me that I worry about how I look because I have low self esteem. I pondered this for quite awhile, since I try not to instantly discount someone even though I may feel that they're obviously small minded mutants. I came to the conclusion that NOT worrying about what you're wearing, how you're accessorised, and basically doing everything you can to put your best foot forward is a much more of an indicator that you have low self esteem. If you give up and appear that you aren't worth the extra 5 minutes it takes to look the best you can, isn't THAT low self esteem? I don't really talk to her any longer.
